David Drumm is among a small group of former high financiers who are extremely interested in the job of IFA general secretary which was vacated by Pat Smith earlier this week.
The embattled Drumm stated “The role was of great interest to me and to be honest the money is nearly as good as the good old days in Anglo so I’m very much interested.”
Drumm is far from the only finance guru with a keen interest in the role. Rich Bonanza, a famed hedge fund manager at Goldman Sachs, has also voiced his interest claiming financial remuneration was hugely attractive.
Disgraced FIFA chief Sepp Blatter has also spoken of his intend to apply for the vacant role again stating the financial package as the main driver for his interest.
Barry Hood of Financial Executives Appointments described the role as what “Is known in the industry as an over fucking paid hypocritical role. It is the type of role which has become more prevalent in Ireland in recent years and attracts the same type of people.”
With the big bucks on offer the role is sure to be filled by shall we say an interesting appointment.
