Recycling centres across Dublin have opened on Sunday in order to deal with an anticipated large number of people dumping Conor Mc Gregor merchandise after his UFC defeat to Nate Diaz.
The Notorious had went up a full weight level from his victory over Jose Aldo but could not get out of a tight neck grab forcing the Dubliner to tap out. It was the first defeat for the Irishman.
The defeat has put cold water on the supporters of the Irishman with children and grown men ripping down posters in their bedrooms and throwing out T Shirts with McGregor’s face.
Dumps and recycling centres have been quick off the mark opening on Sundays and an hour earlier for the rest of the week as large crowds of angry men begin dumping their Mc Gregor merchandise. A recycling centre in Mc Gregor’s Lucan saw a steady flow all morning of people throwing out their MC Gregor stuff.
A 35 year old man did not want to comment at the recycling centre as he angrily threw Mc Gregor styled sunglasses and numerous pairs of briefs with Meet the Notorious written across them into a skip. What seemed to be the mans son, was busily throwing Mc Gregor posters in the paper recycling skip.
Owners of the recycling centre said that on one hand they were sorry to see Mc Gregor lose they were more than happy to recycle the new rubbish.
